How to Request Verification on Instagram

The blue verification badge you see besides an influencer’s name is a sign of status.

Only the most popular and influential Instagram influencers will ever see it. In fact, it can be incredibly difficult to get verified on Instagram. But it’s worth a shot!

Here’s how to try.

How to Request Verification on Instagram

Step 1: Click the hamburger menu at the top of your account.

This will bring up a menu out and show you several options like your insights, saved posts, and how to discover people.

Step 2: At the very top, you’ll find your Instagram Settings. Click this.

Step 3: In settings there are a lot options to help you customize your profile and information. Now click on “Account.”

Step 4: Next click on “Request Verification.”

Step 5: When you click this, it will take you to the application page. You will need to put your full name and upload a photo of your i.d. to prove that it is you.

After doing this, you send it off to Instagram and wait for them to approve you!
